COURSE SYLLABUS

On completion of the course the student shall:

• show familiarity with relations in work life, especially the relationship between employer and employee

• demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge acquired in education in practical work
• demonstrate the ability to describe, analyze and document the practical work in written form
• demonstrate the ability to present and discuss information, problems and solutions related to the workplace

• demonstrate the ability to reflect on need for knowledge and skills development from the viewpoint of experiences in practical work
• demonstrate the ability to reflect on how practical experiences are related to theoretical knowledge in the program
• demonstrate the ability to evaluate with respect to relevant diversity and equality aspects
• demonstrate the ability to evaluate with respect to relevant sustainability and work environment aspects.

In the course students apply knowledge from the program’s previous courses in practical work at a company, the public sector, or organization and gain thereby insights that will be of benefit in following courses. The course comprises an introductory session, documentation of the chosen work, as well as a final presentation.

The course includes the following elements:

• Introduction dealing with the relationship between employer and employee
• The student follows and contributes knowledge in the practical work relevant for the education’s technical orientation
• The student analyzes and documents the ongoing work
• The student documents in a written report analyses and practical experiences

Introduction lecture, supervision and final seminar.

The course is executed primarily at a company, a place in the public sector or another organization. The student works in collaboration with colleagues and possibly other students.

Language of instruction is Swedish but English may occur.

It is the student’s responsibility to find a placement in a company, public administration or organization.
